Dear Parents,

A few reminders for everyone: Please keep reading those books and sending in those Reading Logs; please make sure your child has a coat, hat, and gloves so we can go outside when weather permits; if you have not sent in pictures of your child for our Bulletin Board, please do that at this time; we are running low on snacks so if you could please send in February Snacks they would be greatly appreciated; Thursday is Show-N-Tell and Church Day; and we will be having Valentine Parties on Tuesday the 14^th at 1:30. We do have 7 Students at this time. We will be making Valentine Bags in class for our Valentines. Room Mothers have done an Awesome job on our Parties and we are looking forward to another great party. If Room Mothers need help with anything please let me know.

Last week we all had a great Catholic Schools Week. We made cards for our troops, the Quilters, and Father Pat. The children enjoyed a visit to the Bank and Credit Union while learning about our Community, they also visited with Father and the Quilters while delivering our cards and telling them Thank You. Last week our Letter was '”Q” for Quiet, Queen, and Quilt. The children made Kings and Queens and got to make a rule for the Day; they made word wheels and crowns with Jewels; they found the quarters in the change and the Queens in the deck of cards; and made Qs out of material and out of Magic Nuddles. Last week was also Ground Hog Day so we learned all about Shadows and Groundhogs. The Children loved going outside and seeing what their shadows could do. Last week the children also enjoyed water play in the Activity Table and this week they will get to find sea shells in sand while playing in the Activity Table.

This week our Theme will be Oceans and Octopus for Letter “O”. Our Prayer Pals visited us today and we made Ocean Sticker Scenes and made Paper Bowl Octopus. We will be enjoying several Youtube Songs and Videos that will be teaching us letters, numbers, and about Ocean Life. This week we will also be making edible Oceans, several Valentine Crafts, enjoying lots of books about the Ocean, working on our names, learning about shapes with ocean theme, and learning how to let our Light Shine for Jesus. We have traded out several of our centers and brought in puppets and stage, ocean theme lace cards, and lots of Little Pets.
