Dear Parents,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and Spring Break. Ronnie and I were so excited to welcome our 6th Grandchild over break. A Beautiful Granddaughter, CHILDREN , what a marvelous gift from God, remember to go out there and make wonderful memories because the time goes by way to quickly.
All
the Preschoolers will be going on Reading Counts Field Trip. Remember
this is on Monday the 8th and you will not be charged the
daily fee for that day. You should be receiving all other
information about this trip from the office.
At
this time we are running low on snacks, I have brought in some but if
you could please send in one with your child that would be Awesome!
Graduation
will be held on May 6th at the 5 O'clock Mass for those
children moving on to Kindergarten. The children will have a Cap and
Gown to wear, that will need returned to school and a Tassel that is
theirs to keep. Your child will need to be in the classroom at 4:30
to 4:45. It is best to drop them off and leave because if they are
nervous they do fine once with the group, we will go over to Church
as a Class and sit together. You will have an opportunity after Mass
to take pictures. Please send me a note on Tuesday letting me know if
your child will be there for Graduation.
I
will be having a party for the Children and their Prayer Pals on the
morning of May 9th. My daughter is making up a Scavenger
Hunt for the Children. If anyone is interested in donating a few
prizes for the end of the hunt, snack, or drinks for party just let
me know. Thanks!!
This
week at School we have done several Foam Easter Crafts; made “Jesus
is Risen” Hand Print Flower; read about the First Easter; reviewed
in our Religion Book about Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter; and
continue to work on our Prayers. We have not been able to attend Mass
due to Father's Recovery. Our Themes this week have been Easter,
Earth Day, Seeds and Plants, Oval Shape, and we have been working
hard on our names. Their favorite activities were making dirt cake
with gummy worms while we discussed how the worms help lose the soil
so the plants can grow; making Fabulous Flower Gardens with paint,
paper worms, tissue paper, and hair pick to rake the rows; and they
loved the Activity on “What Will Grow?”. They really enjoyed;
several of the books, especially “The Little Red Hen” and “The
Plant Sitter”; and several of the videos and songs about what
plants need and the Parts of Plants. The children are taking turns
bringing home Share Puppy and really enjoy sharing with class what
they did at home while he visited. Please remember Show-N-Tell on
Thursdays.
If
you ever have any questions or concerns please contact me at anytime.
God
Bless!
Miss
Marie
