April 4,2017
Dear Parents,
Please keep Reading those
books and sending in your Reading Logs. Your child is suppose to have
200 Reading Count Points by April 24th in order to go on
Field Trip. If your child began in January your child should have
100 points, all you need to do is read the book and jot the name down
on the log. The Field Trip is to be on May 8th, since
this is a Monday, the preschoolers will be able to participate and
will not be charged the daily fee for the additional day.
For those children who
will be graduating and moving on to Kindergarten, please mark your
calendar for May 6th . The Children will Graduate at the 5
pm Mass. The children will sit as a group and participate in the
Mass, the school does provide Cap and Gown. More information will
follow in the coming weeks.
We have went through all
the Letters of the Alphabet but continue to work on the whole
Alphabet every day through songs, workouts, videos, Flashcards,
Puzzles, and Theme Activities. Also, everyday we do the same for our
Shapes and Numbers. In addition to this throughout the day in play,
in line, in the cafeteria, and in Circle Time we work on pattering,
more and less, adding, subtracting, sorting, etc.... Last week our
Themes were “The Four Seasons” and Spring. We also learned about
“The Golden Rule”, “Right and Wrong”, and “The Church Has a
Holy Book”, in our Religion Book. We read “Jesus and the
Children” in Our Children's Bible and did Sticker Scene. The
children love to do the “Hokey Pokey Jesus” and sing the “I Am
Special Song”, then we made “I am BeaYOUtiful to God” Necklace
and “Armor Of God” foam sticker scene.
This week we are having a
different theme each day and covering all the subjects with that
Theme. We will be learning all about Our Five Senses and what a
special gift they are from God. We will be reinforcing our five
senses all week long, they especially loved using them while popping
and eating popcorn and making Edible Butterflies. Our other Themes
will be Butterflies, Caterpillars, Ladybugs, and Bumble Bees. In
Religion we will continue to read several stories in our Children
Bible and do activities to go along with them.
The children that will be
entering Kindergarten will be testing with Mrs. Eickhoff this week.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to
ask.
God Bless!
Miss Marie
