Dear Parents,
If you have had a chance
to read your Friday Notes, you have learned that I will not be
returning as the Pre-School Teacher. I have truly been blessed by
God to work with his Greatest Gift, I will miss all the children, and
plan to still be involved with the school. At this time though, in my
life I believe that this is the best decision for me and my family.
Boy time has been flying
by here at school. Last week we were busy learning all about the
Letter “Y”. We made them with Magic Nuddles; blew up yellow
balloons, played with them in gym and learned about static
electricity; practiced with yo-yos; and sang several songs about
“Y”. Everyday we do several songs or activities with the whole
Alphabet, along with activities and songs about the numbers(counting
by 1s, 5s, 10,), shapes, and colors. Last week we also learned all
about the penny, color green, the Rainbow, St. Patrick, the Pope, and
Lent teaches us to help. We made: Hand Print Shamrock, while learning
about the Sign of Cross; Tissue Paper Shamrock; Leprechaun; and
“Where will You Hide Your Gold?” pictures. The children enjoyed
books about Leprechauns, St. Patrick's Day, and Letter “Y”.
This week we will be
learning all about “Z” is for Zero, Zebra, and Zoo. The children
Love to exercise along with “Zero the Hero”, and sing with the
ZigZag People. We will be learning about the Life Cycle of a Chicken
and other animals that come from Eggs. We will be doing egg
patterns, counting eggs, making Hand Print Ducks, and visiting the
1st,2nd, 3rd , and 4th
Grade Classrooms to watch the eggs hatch. They were very excited
today because several of the eggs hatched. In Religion we will be
talking more about Lent and observing the colors in Church and on our
Prayer Table, learning about the precious gift of water, and more
about Baptism. I still have not received pictures from some Students,
so please send those at this time. Please remember to keep reading
those books and sending in your Reading Logs.
If you ever have any
questions or concerns feel free to contact me at anytime.
God Bless!
Miss Marie
