Dear
Parents,
It
is getting to the busy time of the year and several things are coming
up soon, but first a reminder: we do go outside if it is above
32 degrees so please send jacket or coat, hats, and gloves to school
with your child. With Missouri weather you never know, so it is a
good idea to at least keep a jacket in your child's book bag. It is
also a good idea to put names on these items.
The school will be doing Spirit Week the Week of Thanksgiving:
Monday is Mixed up Monday-wear backwards or unmatched outfits;
Tuesday is School Spirit- wear blue and gold; and Wednesday is PJ Day
for the Pre-K.
The
Preschool Class will be performing in the Christmas Program on
December 4th.
They will perform a song in their Sunday best at beginning of
program, then they will go back to the classroom to get ready for
the Nativity Scene at the end of program.
If
you have not had a chance yet please send in your disguised Turkey so
we can display for all to see. It is always fun for the children to
see the different disguises.
Our
field trip is coming up quickly and we will be praying that the
weather cooperates with us. Their will be an attached letter with the
schedule and form for you to fill out with what your child would like
to eat at McDonalds. I'm going to send the form
home with the Driver spot blank, you will need to put the name of who
will be driving your child that day. We will be going with
Kindergarten, so if you want to car pool with another family that is
fine , just make sure you put the name of the person that will be
driving that day on the form. Example: If Jack and his mom are riding
with Sally and her Mom, Jack's paper will need to have Sally's Moms
name on the form.
Last week in school we learned
all about the Letter “K”: especially Kangaroos, Koala, and
Kittens; they learned the “Rudy Rectangle Song” and all about
Rectangles with Stoybots; we learned the Skeleton Song, read about
Skeletons, and made a model of a Skeleton; they also learned about
the Saints and Angels.
This week we will be working on
“T is for Turkey” and “T is for Turtle”. Our Prayer Pals will
be coming down to make a Turkey and Thanksgiving Place Mat, then they
will enjoy a game of Duck, Duck, Turkey. We will be doing a lot of
Turkey and Turtle Math, Craft, Songs, and Stories. We will be
working on counting forward and backwards, patterns, and colors. In
Religion we will be learning how all things come from God and that
there are different kinds of Prayers, besides petitions, there is
Prayers of Praise and Prayers of Thanksgiving. I will be gone to a
Conference on Thursday and Brittney will be subbing in the classroom.
Please don't forget about
Reading Counts and as always if you ever have any questions or
concerns please feel free to contact me at anytime.
God Bless!
Miss Marie
